Why should you care?

Internet Explorer 6 is bad for you for many reasons. Here are just a few:

  1. As of January, 2009, there are at least 142 reported vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer 6, making it one of the most unsafe browsers around.
  2. Internet Explorer 6 was released in 2001, making it a dinosaur in the digital age. You'd be surprised how many things are actually younger than Internet Explorer 6 — including the original Xbox and the TV show 24.
  3. It was number 8 on PCWorld's list of the 25 worst tech products of all time.
  4. Websites built for Internet Explorer 6 are costly to maintain because of its quirks, and as a result companies like Apple and Google are starting to drop support for it.
